157 – When is a song like a collage

I was reading the Techdirt article ” About the work of Girl Talk and the surrounding copyright issues of mashups and their use of sampled music. Funny thing is, I didn’t find the article itself that compelling, but the analogy used comparing mashups made of sampled music and incorporating dance techniques just seemed to be on the mark. So I tried to come up with a more fitting analogy and I think I succeeded! Oh, and as a side note, I changed my mind on some of my positions on Sampled music, mashups and copyrights. I also gave my rebuttal of an opinion in the comment section of the Techdirt article.
